How do I remove the lower part of the dash, the part below the steering column? Is it just the two screws I marked on this pic?

They guy who installed my alarm mounted the alarm under the dash somewhere... I need to get to it and adjust the shock sensor. I am sure its in that area. is it that hard to just take out the small part of the dash? it looks like there might only be the 2 screws.

yes you have to undo those two screws, I believe they are bolts not screws, are then very carefully unsnap it from around the column and by the door. After you take it off there is then a metal brace which you need to unbolt, there are four bolts holding it in ... only two need to be undo because you remove the first two to take the plastic piece off.

It's not hard at all shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. If it's a alarm, they usually get mounted at the upper left (look at the steering wheel) underneath.

Wouldn't it be easier to have them, adjust it confused

Yeah its just those two screws. After removing them, just pull and it should pop right out.

yeah take out the two bolts (10mm), push in he OBX thing (its next to the hood latch), then just pull firmly but gently. You want to be careful of any buttons you may have and the hood latch..

I would be sure what your looking for is in this area, I would not do this for no reason.

The guy who installed it no longer works there, and I have seen the work the other guys do... I much rather do it myself.

Why is that? Is it that hard, or possible to cause damage?

No,no it's extremely simple to do ... he's just making sure your not doing something you don't have to.

It would suck it you did this and wasted you time because it wasn't there.

Ok, thanks for the help! I think I am also looking for an excuse to take a look behind the panel... You know, learn more.
