Hi all,

My celi' is without cruise control, and I would like to have one...

My problem is that the only ones I know of is VDO, Rostra and Cruise...

And the control thingy on all of them looks like puke

I asked my local TOYOTA pusher/dealer and they are only able to install the Rostra cruise control... aparently it's not possible to get an original toyota cruise control installed in my 00 Celica VVT-i in Denmark...

Does any of you know where I can find cruise controls?

Thanks...

So it seems like it will run you about $150 ...Good luck let us know if you go for it or succeed in your Cruise Control project thumbsup

just put this in the search function

Thanks for looking into the problem... as far as I can see nobody makes a nice looking control interface for an aftermarket cruise control... that's just to bad...

It might just be me... but I will not install something ugly in my car...

Not only do they not make any good looking aftermarket cruise control units (such as a new steering wheel with integrated controls), They are very expensive to have installed. Unless you have the knowledge and time to do it yourself. I hate to say it, but it may be more than it's worth to get the job done

I totally agree... however I have installed cruise controls before, and it's easy... (when you know where the tacho and speed signals are)

As far as I understand from my TOYOTA pusher, if my car was a '04 model I could have only bought the control thingy and everything else would have been in the car... now that sux...

well since I poked around there are no good stick for it but I plan on just using one of the airplane switches that go into the blank switches in my car for just setting the cruise. Don't ask about the switches it just came with the car when I bought it.
Hope that opinion gives you an idea, doesn't have to be airplane switches but those fit in the blank sockets so thats all I can give.
