i was following a mazdaspeed protoge' and he made an abrupt stop and i almost damn near rear ended him. for some reason when i slammed the brakes my front right tire locked completely and created a flat spot (sorry if you have to ride wobbles like me, or have in the past) Thank heavens that this wasn't a warped rotor...btw any rotor brand reccomendations would be appreciated i'm sick of stock brakes but can't afford 1800 dolla 4 piston calipers
pleae pm me on aim i will see it quicker than posts here (college student 2 jobs only so much time)
holla

AEM makes just bigger rotors. I guess you could use them with some TRD pads

you can get Rotora for $1300-$1400. if that's still too much, then you should get some OEM slotted rotors with TRD brake pads. it'll be a definete improvement over stock, but it wont be as nice as getting a big brake kit 'cuz you're still using the stock caliper.

is you're gtsn a manual?
i've had the same problem as well--then i realized i wasn't mashing the clutch in when i braked. (if the clutch isn't in sometimes my brakes will lock up when i brake hard)

if you are just a daily driver, slotted/drilled rotors will actually decrease the stop power of your car.
Unless you ride the brakes for long periods of time you won't see the benefits of venting the gasses.
Just get some new rotors (if needed) you can get oem style brembos cheap from tirerack.com and some really good pads.
TRD, EBC green stuf, Axxis Ultimate are all good brands. I have EBC with brembo rotors, and my stopping distance from 60 is about 90-100 feet, you can activate the ABS on drive pavement if you jam down hard enough, and I've had a couple of high speed stops from 130+ down to 80 in about 1-2 seconds
