I see CAIs like this [cgi.ebay.com] one a lot. I'm assuming these are crap, but what makes them different from good ones like AEM, etc?

cheap construction, poor materials.

There is a reason the AEM and Injen ones are expensive. You get what yu pay for with car stuff wink

one of those blew my MAFS, DO NOT BUY IT NOW thumbsdown...spend money and get something a little more worth it...i bought AEM, love it !!!!

they've got a bunch of other cheap stuff at the bottom like exhaust, headers, etc. wow, can you imagine if prices were really like that? i could've gotten a cat back exhaust, new headers, Intake, reverse gauges, and a "JDM shifter" all for less than my AEM. thumbsup

well said... also, I make it a rule to never buy Performance mods on ebay unless I have dealt with the seller before and/or am guaranteed quality (better said than done)
