what do you guys think of the new Pontiac GTO, it doesn't look to bad...i know the original one was way better...but i mean it the terms of style, (it also has a V8 or something good in it )
I dont care for it, all it is is a car thats been on the market for a few years, and they renamed it GTO...A lot of GTO (old one) sites ive been to, dont like the new one. The only thing that is the same about it is its sound. To me, it doesnt look aggressive at all like the old one. Oh well, its pretty fast!

it's got the old vette engine in it...

I really dont care for it... I think people were generally disappointed with the outcome.. Its been that way with a lot of new cars... Companies are making sh*t and slapping old respected names on it, and people are buying them. Buying them for the name... thats all.. The lost that quality that made the old school versions so well known.
It's been in Australia for years as a Holden Menaro. Old frame etc.. All GM did was throw a bigger engine in it and put new boring skin on it. 350HP does the 0-60 in 5.3 and 1/4 mile in 14 seconds. Is it only me or is that a slow 1/4 mile for 350 HP?
wow, only 14? that is pretty shitty, isn't the SRT-4 run like upper 13s with 250 or so? anyways, i HATE how every single model of pontiac looks the same. even there vans look the same as their cars if you squint

Its transmission sucks and the suspension is soft as hell, other than that its decent. In a few years it will get better I'd expect. BTW, 14 seconds (13.6 actually) isnt that slow for a heavy car... hp isnt everything, its partially cause the transmission is really bad...

Um, check your sources. GTO's do not run 14's unless the driver is a complete moron.

Sorry man. I got those from the Car & Driver I just happened to be watching while reading the post.
But actually I found several sites that list it stock at 5.3 and a little under 14, so I think my numbers are fine... I wasn't stating times for GTO's with nitrous systems and other mods.
