noooo no no...start in drive... hold brake and rev...then let go.. then when you are in motion about 20 mph... shift down to 2nd and then you get more power in that gear, then shift back up to drive, then overdrive(4th gear)

  • Power brake it, but don't over heat the transmission.
  • Don't race w/an automatic trans

if you add magnets to your fuel line, your takeoff will be instant... instead of just making a whole bunch of noise while it thinks about moving smile

im a GT-AUTO driver too... and the magnets really help!

ok, well, living close to Westheimer. the big racing strip down here... I do often race my automatic... (not for long tho, as I have messed up my trans. and they're dropping an auto in it by the end of the year!!! smile I find it best to start in Drive, get going at least 20-25mph then shift into 2nd and turn off your overdrive... it'll give you more torque. (least that's what I hear... and it seems to work... but maybe I've just believed it so long that I just think it does)... anyway, and push it to no more than 7500 rpm and shift back to drive. That seems to make me a winner... thumbsup

hahaha rofl isaac must love his "magnet". I read about this topic somewhere in here though the topic goes nowhere.

though this is what i did w/ my auto gts. started in drive, when the car takes off shift to manual mode which make the RPM rev up to about 4 to 5 rpm, then shift back into drive and the car just shoot off. one thing is you gotta have fast hand, and looking @ the tach will not help!

Life is like a dream...Hopefully when you wake up it isn't like mine.

I just bought a few NdFeB magnets off ebay... bored I guess. I'm gonna check this stuff out. If it works, yeah!, if not.. I have some magnets to play with.
