LOL yeah that's funny. Well, you have to remove the back most panel first. Then the side two panels. The right panel don't forget to unplug the light before removing! You just have to look around and remove any screws and plastic screws you can see. There aren't any hidden screws to remove the back panels. Then, like he said...Pull. It's just plastic snaps.

ok, well i wasn't talkin bout the paneling in the bottom of the trunk. i took of the paneling behind where the liscense plate is. i'm taking it off b/c it rattles when my bass hits and i want to dynot mat it. but there really isn't an easy way to dynomat that now that i look at it. i can get little peices of dynomat in around it but not to cover it really good. do you think i should just put the dynotmat on the inside of the paneling?

Pyro: There is one little screw inside the trunk. Just unscrew that and pull the handle off and the rest of it is just held on by plastic clips.

I'm gonna take your little Civic. Dust it off. Turn it sideways and stick it straight up you candy A*s.

yeah, i got the paneling off, that's not the prob. but there isn't much spacing to put the dynomat on once i take it off. unless i put the dynomat on the inside of the plastic which i assume would work just as good but i dunno...

GRRR!! Ok, well, i took off the plastic to the hatch (not the trunk) b/c that is where is is vibrating. Well, like i was saying, there wasn't much area to lay the dynomat (go out and look at urs to see what i mean). So i put as much on as i could and it didn't do jack crap. So doing the rest of the trunk by i don't think it's going to help at all and i don't want to waste my time. What do you think? B/c i HAVE TO do something about that vibrating b/c it is so friggin loud...

Also, there are to little plugs on the back peice in the trunk and no matter how hard i tried the suckers would not pop off. What can i do?

Pyro: Have you tryed to just put dynomat behind your liscense plate? Not on the inside of your car but, literally on the back of you plate.

Well in 30 min when I go to lunch I'll swing home and get my camera and some tools. Then I'll rip my trunk apart and see if I can come up with something for you. thumbsup

Shane: OK after looking at the inside of the trunk the only two options that I can come up w/ are

1) You can just unbolt the trunk latch and put something in between the latch and trunk on the outside. And then bolt the latch back on over it. Or...

2) You can unbolt everything from the inside of the trunk and try to put the dynomat in that way. This way looks like it would take a lot of time a work.

I would suggest instead of dynomat going to WalMart and getting a sheet of foam from the craft section. It only costs about $0.33 a sheet. And take the trunk latch off and put it on the outside of your car between the trunk and the trunk latch.

UPDATE: I took it off and stuffed it full of the foam stuff and no luck, still vibrates. I can't tell if it's the locking mechanism or what. i just know it seems to be right behind the license plate but i can't see anything on the inside that is making the noise. soooooo, it looks like i'm just going to have to deal with it. or hope that wheni dynomat the rest of the hatch that it will absorb enuff of the bass that it won't hit the back as hard...

check the cables... they may be vibrating smile

turn your car's system up loud, stand outside your car - look for where the vibration is coming from - check if there is a difference with your trunk in LOCK or UNLOCK posiion.

just a sugestion... since everything you've already tried hasnt worked yet

ok, i listened to it with the doors locked and that was it...the only thing that seems to be making any noise now is the actual lock that you put the key in. so i might just try to stuff more in that area to help...

thanks for the help guys
