engine cover...

well last night my engine cover came off. It was half way broke for a while, and while i was driving last night i heard that nasty grinding sound. I stopped and when i looked under my car i saw that my engine cover came almost all the way off. so i just pushed it off completely. Is that bad not having the cover on? could it mess up my car? does anyone here do not have thiers on?

That's what I thought you were talking about. Mine also is off, but hanging. Thank God it isn't scraping anymore. My car is going to Toyota Tuesday for other reasons and they are going to fix it. I'm sure those plastic pieces are there for a reason that's why I didn't remove mine.
