hey whats going on? i am disapointed today went to put on the headlight tint and everything was going well untill i had to put the piece on that goes above the main headlight projector, just wouldnt follow the curves of the light. would get the piece layed down nice in the front then the back of it would bunch up. did this for about a half hour then started trimming.. didnt work. let me know what has to be done so i can order another kit...

That's a very good question, because i just put on "Virgilson"s headlight overlay kit today. This is what i did for mine and his, get a razor blade, and hold that piece down, then cut directly down the middle of it, make sure you use a little bit of pressure so it completely cuts the FIRST time, thats important you do that, then put on the piece as two separate pieces, now you will definitely notice how much easier it is!!! thumbsup

did you use soap and water to lubricate the surface so you can slide the piece into position before it permanently adheres?

Yup thats true, here is a close up pic of mine, and i cut my piece down the middle, the piece that we're talking about is the one that he highlighted in the 1st post, bascially the little bulge on top of the headlight area.

And I can't see the line in the pics I posted, so its absolutely fine to trim through the middle, hoped this helps you/anyone else. wave

Essential! And an exacto knife works great for trimming, or sewing scissors thumbsup
