It's that time of the year again, when the summer sun blazes down on maryland in a 130% humidity choke hold.

I'd like to get some chrome window tinting on my silver celica, but no where can I find even a ballpark price number on the internet. There is a couple companies in Maryland that have websites, and no prices. I call for a quote, and they want me to drive out there (it's TWO hours away, just for a quote? nope.)

Anyone whose had it done professionally have any idea what the ballpark figure would be? For chrome tint on the sides (and back if its legal) as I assume the front cant be tinted.

link for state tinting laws thumbsup

as for price I got my rear and two quarter windows done for $125 using Llumar [llumar.com] 5% tint.
Excellent Product...all tint is not made the same.

The chrome tint is going to more. Maybe like $175 or so.

yeah 120 for regular tints and between $150-$200 for special tints like the chrome ones you were talking about. These are prices for a tint shop which specialize in this, you can get them cheaper but go to a professional place it will look a lot better and last a lot longer with no air bubbles!

Is there such a way to do it without film, like the factory does it with electrostatic? Although, I'm sure thats REALLY expensive.

I'm getting mine tinted soon with llumar tint and I was quoted 195 for all side windows and the rear window. This comes with a lifetime guarantee against cracking, peeling, or bubbling so you don't have to worry about any of that - it's quality material.

Is it not legal were you people live to get a 5 inch strip across the front. I'm looking at getting the platinum tint that fades from platinum up to 15 percent.

I have limo tint on all of my windows except the windshield. It has a little bit of a grayish chrome to it. Cost $145 for a guy to come to my house and install it for me. They quoted me the dealer price. Regular price was 175.

I live in Baltimore and around here your looking at %150 to $250 for metalized tint with a warrenty. I got mine at zbarts in catonsville and I payed $150 for 100% metalized tint (black). I got 35% on the sides and back with 20% on the corners.
BTW mirror tint (chrome) and fade tint (mirror faded to black) is 100% illegal, I wouldn't pay all that money for illegal tint.

i had my car tinted (35% all around-legal) at midwest tint. i used "titanium" tint (mimics the stock tint on lexus suv's here-its a chrome tint with low gloss, and yes it is legal and yes it is slightly reflective) and i recommend it. i recommend having somewhere professional do it because of the lifetime warranty grin thumbsup

btw in MO low gloss mirrorish tint (must be 35% or lighter, and you can tint all windows) is legal, high gloss is not, dont know about everyone elses area.

It's legal here, but I think I'll wait to get a custom one done.
