Damn 5-0
Man, Saturday night, my team and I went to chill at Mission Beach (at Belmont Park) when all of a sudden, the PIGS came out of nowhere and searched every car.

Damn, my friends got tickets.
Get this, they gave my friend a ticket because he had stickers (like Spread Eagle's stickers) on the side windows. A f'ing ticket for those any stickers to be in fact. ANY! Then they were gonna give him a ticket because his rear door handles were shaved.

Man, they searched under the Hood as well. Some guy's Del Sol was towed because he had a Turbocharger in it and no C.A.R.B.s on some engine parts.

I didnt get a ticket cuz:
1. I parked sort of far from the rest of the other people.
2. My car is basically stock.

Thanks jeebus I didnt get a ticket.

Damn cops!

if you were on private property, they can't do that.

If you were not, were is the probable cause to search the cars?

You definitely should fight that in court, or your friends rather. They didn't have probably cause to search your vehicles.

somthing like that happened to my friend. for NO reason, a cop pulled him over. actually he was revving above 6rpm, but going the speed limit. the cop gave him a ticket for the Short Ram he has on cz there is suppose to be a number on it to show that it is legal. the Intake is AEM, so if the cop knows that much to check for #, doesnt he know that AEM Intake is legal? he also gave him a ticket for other stuffs like his car is too loud, and some stupid shits that you can know from a smog check. the guys car is a 2002 with ONLY a Short Ram. no exhaust, nothing. ticket is 800$. hes going to AEM to get that # thing to clear his ticket.

i said this a lot and i say it again. FUCK U COPS. instead of keeping the streets safe you give tickets for stickers? a lot of ppl die in the country, go protect them before pulling over somene for going over speed limit by a mile.

The whole C.A.R.B. thing and Intakes is ridiculous because what device the air enters the engine through, it has no effect on emissions. If anything it would improve the emissions because of the more efficient burning of the fuel with the increased o2. Thats what I would think anyway.

I agree 100% greg, your sucking in the SAME air as the normal airbox would get...except your sucking it from a different location under the Hood. It's not like its sucking 'fart gas' or something!

it is definetely combustible. but someone should explain that to the cop, not me. i already know that Intakes only improve how an engine and a car runs. im sure the cop knows also, but just wants to rip off some money. my friend is all cool about it, hes gonna goto hawthorne or something where AEM is and get that #(somehow the Intake didnt come with that #). he doesnt care and hes not pissed about it cz hes used to it. so am i. cops in this city are ridiculously fucked up. every other week he gets a ticket for his tint, no front License Plate. im serious, this guy now has a folder for his tickets in his car i was checking out last week.

I'm sorry dude. That B.S. Last week I got pulled over by a State Boy doing 100+ and he was on my ass ( it was dark 5 a.m., I thought it was a girl that works for me until the lights came on---I know, stupid) He pulled me over into where I work, checked my papers and gave me a verbal warning!!! Very lucky I know but what a difference in what you are dealing with. If I'd gotten a ticket or suspension, at least I was doing something wrong, not just chillin out with buds.

1. look where you living at
2. there are good and bad cops. i got pulled over for driving 20 faster than speed limit, cop was enough and warned me only
3. drive on the wrong lane, got only warning when i putted others in danger.
4. you were lucky
5. police here just do their job: rip off people in any way possible.

it sure sounds like bs to you there, but it sounds funny here. cause everyone is used to it, especially in this city. if you do meets here, cops come and they want you gone. why? were not doing anything just taklin? no we dont want noone here!

actually they do have the right to look under your Hood and anything having to do on how your car fuctions. what is not legal is them searching your car for drugs without reasonable suspicion. I know this because i've asked a cop.

it sure sounds like bs to you there, but it sounds funny here. cause everyone is used to it, especially in this city. if you do meets here, cops come and they want you gone. why? were not doing anything just taklin? no we dont want noone here!

wow, that would sure give me an attitude. I guess there are advantages to livin here in the great white north. Would they hassle you if you were driving some POS?

u guys are very lucky living there. you dont have any cops bs pulling over stories. my city is fucked up. any nice looking car (gts,rsx,350,g35). if you pass by a cop, they just stare at u. and if they feel like it, they chase you for a few minutes, when they see you dont do nothing, then let you go. they pulled over a friend of mine bcz he chirped a little when he just drove off when he was parked. reason he chirped is because there was a car behind him sticking close, so he floored it a little extra. cop then gave him a seatbelt ticket, and some stupid shit for his chirping. they write good excuses. the only nice one was the guy who didnt give me a ticket when i was doing 60 on 40. but hey, i was driving a car that couldnt be driven, POS. few months ago, a cop hit me while driving for the stupidest reason, stupidest mistake. you should read the police report they wrote bs, very funny shit. i have to put it on a frame cz its too funny.

Welcome to San diego Where the cops are dicks 24/7. but to tell you the turth mission beach spot was a good place to hang out like 2 years ago with the mini truckers and low riders but ever since all the imports start to show up there has been a increase in drunk driving disorderly conduct and dumb asses bruning out in the parking lot(all imports). it was only a matter of time before the cops where going to crack on that lot. sorry to hear about your misfortune

Probable cause could have been established if the cops saw anything illegal on the outside or the inside of the car. It has to be in plain view, they can't move anything, enter the car to search, or open anything such as the trunk, Hood, etc.

If anything illegal is seen within plain site, the officers can establish probable cause if the officers can detect a "familiar pattern (of criminal activity)." (bullshit)

Probable cause can also be gathered from "expertise" alone. Bullshit because this can't be argued against with ease.
