are you talking about the stock Celica hood that you can get directly from your dealer? If you are then they'll both cost you about the same. Carbon Fiber hoods aren't that expensive, you just have to look around and you can pick one up in the $400 range. there's a couple of guys who can hook you up w/a VIS OEM hood.

Well, some guy hit my car and messed up my front bumper and hood. His insurance company is paying the shop to repair my ride, but i want an OEM Carbon Fiber hood instead of stock. Can I tell them to put on a Carbon Fiber hood, or is that against the insurance dealie ?? idunnoand what do I tell them ?

did you already get a quote of how much it's gonna cost. If you have, then you can just tell the insurance that you would rather have the money and you can buy the hood yourself and the rest of the money can go towards repairing the car.

that's what my dad did when some one hit the front of my moms Passport, he took the money and bought a chrome front bumper and it end up costing the same if he had gone w/the ugly stock black bumper.

new hood from toyota is less than 200 bucks... plus paint would bring you up to about 300 if the place was being honest...

VIS looks like the OEM hood, but it comes with a raised scoop. You can get them anywhere, just check out the For Sale Forum
