Took my car to this transmission shop around noon today to get my ACT Street Clutch and Fidanza flywheel installed. My car was laid up for like 3 weeks. I had to raise money for the parts and then the install. Install will be $350 total and dude said I should get it back tomorrow. I'm souped. Can't wait. grin

Nice cheap install price.

When I got quoted for install on a new clutch, everyone quoted me about 800-900 dollars.

WOW. Now I'm really happy about my install price. When I did research about install, guys on the board suggested prices between $350-$450. Most of the transmission shops close to be quoted me at $450. But I took a 30 minute drive to a tranny shop around where I bought my car and they're gonna do it for $350. thumbsup

Yup. I'm having my clutch replace right now and i saw how much it was. If you bring in your own part it still cost $700-800 for the fucking labor..i brought in the ACT clutch kit and since i only had the car for 1 month they cover half of the labor so i only pay them $232.45labor + my part is like $339.00 for the ACT from SupraStore.com ..
tell me how it feel driving with the ACT when you get ur car back, i can't have my car until Monday, sux..

frown frown frown frown cry

I called the guy at the tranny shop today because yesterday when I dropped the car off he said it should be done today. But when I called him today he said he had a lot to do so I'll have to pick it up Monday. I'm so anxious to drive my whip man. I was really looking forward to getting it back today. Oh well, I guess Monday's not that far away. BTW I'll definitely post pix after I drive it and tell yall how it feels IMO, especially for those who're running stock and are thinking about upgrading clutch and flywheel in future. From what I've read on the boards about the ACT clutch and Fidanza flywheel, I know I won't be disappointed.

I got the ACT clutch from jscspeed.com for $322.19 shipped. Price without shipping is $299, that was the cheapest I found. And I got the Fidanza flywheel for $351.18 shipped from motorsportsauthority.com

$900 is ridiculous. My dealership olnly quoted me $300 for clutch install, and the flywheel, of course, is free since there right there anyway.

definately. thats like 3 or 4 extra whp PLUS the advantages of having a superior clutch & flywheel that can handle the abuse of racing & higher rpm launches.

sweet thumbsup
