i need to just reposition mine so this question comes at the right time. i assume a blowdryer set on high should be fine since it's safe for personal grooming happywink

Maybe I'm just tired, but I don't understand why you need to remove the TRD headlight covers to paint the inside of your headlights.. confused

Just remove the headlight housings (with the trd covers still on) and open those bad boys up..

or are you worried they'd be damaged in the oven?

go to autozone or what ever local car parts store is in your area. find a spray can of sticker and glue dissolver. make sure you get one with the long red straws so you can go under. and have a lot of patientce. you will have to apply many coats of this stuff while letting it dry and prying alittle more each time. its paint safe to thats how i got mine off thumbsup

but what about reusing the 3m tape? wouldn't you need to install new ones when you want to put them back on?

ya EVAN i'm afraid that if i put the headlights in the oven with the TRD covers the the covers will warp.

I think the best suggestion was just to heat it up with a hair dryer and then use something (flat head screwdriver or maybe even your fingers) to gently and slowly pry them apart. It'll take some time and patience, but you should be able to get it off ok.

What are you going to use to re-adhere them once you're done?
