anyone got the TRD Ball Style shift knob installed? if so, can you post some pictures? i wanted to see how it looks before buying it...

I actually dont even like it, i want a short shifter and a red bag to make it fit, because it like clunks around when you shift, makes noises and i HATE it

i have the TRD Duracon knob and it's comfortable...i wouldn't want anything else.

Not my stile... But if you like it and planning to install it but do not want to have that UGLY GAP do this: You may need more washers, but I hope you got the idea how to fix that gap. wave

3 It's not TRD knob, but I use to have the same problem: Ugly Gap.

Or instead of washers you can use this: It's the plastic ring which one comes with every box of CDR's just use 2 of them.

nice.. thanks for the pics... I have the TRD ShortShifter.. dont know whats the gap gonna be like in that...
basically i am looking for a shiftknob to go w/ the TRD SS.. and i want it to look short as possible but look nice at the same time .. like ball-style leather + titanium grin

I think you're talking to me... I cut the metal frame out of the stock shift boot, and wrapped like half of the new on around it. Didn't add a bushings or anything, the boot just stays up via pressure from the rest of the boot.
There's no gap except that teh boot will sometimes fall down a little. But I folded the extra in under it and the problem is fixed. wink

I dont think I will ever have any problems with not having my bag big enough, my shifter is about 3 inches tall grin

did you take off the whole lighter/shifter cover panel part just to get the boot off? you know you can remove the boot just by pinching the bottom and sliding it forward
