I actually dont even like it, i want a short shifter and a red bag to make it fit, because it like clunks around when you shift, makes noises and i HATE it
Not my stile... But if you like it and planning to install it but do not want to have that UGLY GAP do this: You may need more washers, but I hope you got the idea how to fix that gap. 1 ( Do not worry about the red marks)
nice.. thanks for the pics... I have the TRD ShortShifter.. dont know whats the gap gonna be like in that... basically i am looking for a shiftknob to go w/ the TRD SS.. and i want it to look short as possible but look nice at the same time .. like ball-style leather + titanium
now this looks nicee.. i think im gonna get it! was there a gap like the regular shifter? did you put any washers?
I think you're talking to me... I cut the metal frame out of the stock shift boot, and wrapped like half of the new on around it. Didn't add a bushings or anything, the boot just stays up via pressure from the rest of the boot. There's no gap except that teh boot will sometimes fall down a little. But I folded the extra in under it and the problem is fixed.
2 Put washers on the shifter (On the top of the white plastic ring)
did you take off the whole lighter/shifter cover panel part just to get the boot off? you know you can remove the boot just by pinching the bottom and sliding it forward
