I would say its the a/c doing something. Try starting your car with the a\c off then turn it on after a minute or so and see if it still does that. confused

my car does that all winter. mainly while it's cold, I think it goes away when it warms up. It's very faint but annoying when you know it's there!! You know how that is eh?(insert canadian "eh joke" here) wave

I'm pretty sure it's the coolant. It needs to be bleed and top off. Topping off will do no good if there are still air bubbles in the system and that's probably the noise. I had this problem many times. I have it now and my coolant is low. I need to fix it or bring it in when Toyota will fix it during scheduled maintenance or under warranty. It will not affect anything in your ride. Nothing drastic it just sounds like your car had too much to drink and nachos and has gas or dry heaves.

That's a good suggestion. I just went and checked and my coolant is low. I'll take a look tomorrow when it's light out.
