"its a very complicated procces." what kind of BS is this. i guess ill have to ride my mom's motorcycle for 2 days.

(yes, i do have kazuma tongue)

That condensation thing happened to me before. I noticed it in the winter of 2002 and I took it to the dealership. I didn't let them do anything about it because they were talking about replacing the lights and that was too much money. So I just left it like that and now it doesn't happen anymore. Strange, huh.

should be a freakin' recall.

It's a manufacturing defect, fsckers.

yea i have it in mine to, both of them, i went up to toyota and they said it's "wear and tear" so they would have to buy new one's and it would cost me 600 dollars, or i can get it fixed by a friend's shop, and prolly run me 50 bucs the most

wear and tear?

Do they not realize the cause of this problem is a crack/failure in the sealant on the lens?

Toyota is so stupid. thumbsdown

one of mine does that. The other one doesn't do it cause Toyota replaced it under warranty but now I'm out of warranty so I have one gross headlight. I regularly pull out the bulbs and leave it in the sun to dry it out.

After I painted my headlights, I got a bit of condensation in one light. The driver side high beam area was full of condensation after a car wash. Instead of heating it up in the oven again, this is what I did.

First, I waited until the condensation was all gone.

Then, I pulled it out, took some masking tape and put it on each side of the seam all the way around, about 1mm from the actual seam on each side. Then I used some goop automotive and put a light bead around. I think I did about a quarter of it each time, basically each section of tape. Then I peeled off the tape right after and there is about a 2mm stripe of goop which is clear and totally sealed it up. Won't get all dirty like silicone either. No problems since. Hope this helps everyone.

It is complicated, There are three bolts, plus high beam, low beam, signal, and DRL to be removed. Come on, this is a big job! LOL what a buncha idiots.

stupid me painted my headlights back in december when it was really cold. i couldn't help it. i couldn't wait. painting the headlight is a nice mod to your car so i did it. i put the headlight back together and put it back into my car. a couple of days later, condensation started. i was driving for about two to three months with it until it finally became warm outside. i went to home depot and got some silicone glue (indoor/outdoor) and i put a lot of it around the seals of the headlight. no more condensation for me! smile
