My 91 Celi GT is almost dead...low oil pressure light at idle, no power steering, EGR valve is dead, rust on ALL panels (damn NW Ontario and their salted roads), and, of course, 290 100 Km. I'm heading down to Toronto to test drive and maybe by a car this weekend. Cars to test drive;
-2000 Prelude SE
-2002 Celi GT
-2000 Celi GTS
and maybe an acccord. Any one have pos/neg experience with Preludes? I think that is my main choise right now.

Do they dump piles of gravel on the road as well like they do here in Calgary. I need a new windshield almost every other year.
I've always liked Hondas (used to own an Accord) but I find their styling quite boring. The Prelude probably has more aftermarket stuff available than the Celica. I personally like the Celi GTS (I think the GT is a waste of time). Drive the Quaalude and the GTS and choose your favourite. Remember, having a hatchback can be handy sometimes.

i have a friends with a prelude and it's so tite, she lets me drive it around sumtimes, and it has pretty goos accekeration, i dunno about the handling tho, it handles better than a celica, but IMO the only thing i dun't likje about the celica is the steering wheel is all wierdr and small.

The prelude doesn't handle better than the Celica, and it's also slower.

Get the Celica if you want Performance and reliability, but I don't know about the 2000. Might be better off with the Prelude. frown

found a 200 GTS w/100 000km for $17 000 (6spd,silver). Only thing that bugs me is the high kilometers. I can get a 2000 'Lude SE for that price with 30 000km.
