Depend, how much driving do you drive a month? 2k-2.5k?? if so i would change every time you have your oil change. That's the recommended. But i usually change every 2months because i drive a lots so i get dirty pretty quick. So i think you should clean it every 2 or 3 months depending on your monthly driving. thumbsup

Ya but what I'm say is how often do you actually replace the filter with a new one?

yeah. That's the good thing about the CAI filter. can be reuse ton of time. Get a cleaning kit for like $10.00. If you want to replace a new one then after the first 1 yr pay attention when you're cleaning. if the filter break off tiny bits of pieces when you wash it, then that's a good time to get new good.

i've cleaned mine twice and I just got it mid last summer. Very dusty up here. Just make sure that you keep a clean filter, cause when it was dirty it drove worse than it did with just the exhaust.
