whats the best way to get to my AEM cai Intake filter, im gonna clean it... any help or experience will be appreciated

hmm i had a hole in my plastic i just reached in and loosened it up...or you could take ur front bumper off grin

um take it off? take the front off or do the wheel well thing where you bend it back, then take it off...then use the K&N Filter Recharger kit to clean it grin

good info but how does the ting come off... idk what screws hold it on i can see 3 in the front of the car but they didnt do it

ok, ill help you. the best way to get to the filter is to go through the wheel well. take off all the plastic rivits on the inside of the fender and then all you have to do is bend back the plastic, its pretty flimsy so it shouldnt be a problem. grin

Park with your wheels turned all the way to the left. Look in the wheel well towards the passenger side you'll see 2 screws holding the bottom of the mudgaurd up. Take them out.
Next get under the bumper. You'll see 2 or 3 screws (can't remember I only have one now grin ) take out those screws.
Pull down the mudgaurd next the wheel well liner piece (pull them off of the tow-hook)
Pull the liner piece back and you will have access to the filter.
I recommend wearing gloves, the plastic can cut up your hands.

I'd also check the Install for this on this site. thumbsup

loosening the wheel well cover is definately the best way to go...I just cleaned mine. thumbsup
