i've heard it will wear out your tires really fast, but i also know people around here that have 1.5" drops on stock struts and shocks and they're fine. and they don't have the camber correction kit either. i want a drop to be one of my first mods but i wanna make sure i do it right.

if you drop more than 2" then you need a camber kit. anything under that should be fine.

i wouldnt recommend stock struts and shocks, they will last a while but wear out extremely fast, just be safe and get coils

For TRD springs and Eibach Pro springs you do not really have to change your shocks and droop will be the slightly lower than a stock. But if you go low like Sportlines or Gold-lines you should change your shocks in the future.
And get an Alinghment kit (Eibach $26 (front)).

I have a 1.5" drop on Sprint springs with 18" wheels. There is mild camber on the back but after checking out my tires every couple weeks there does not seem to be any noticable, screwy wear patterns.

Do the drop, then take the vehicle to an alignment specialist (not a place like Midas) a SPECIALIST ;-) and see what they tell you.

a lower drop may wear out your shocks quicker than a smaller drop...and a lower also usually need camber links to fix it up...

but eventually, you WILL need new shocks...but not for a while

you never know how long... If you ride on the shitty roads it will diee faster if you drive on the belways most of the time it will last longer... you can ride on the stock shocks and 2" drop maybe a year or two... may be longer...
