for the 7th gens, the ecu is located in front of the battery.

in the engine compartment, i'm pretty sure mine isn't there in fact it is, it is located in the box that says "warning do not open" umm no, in fact it's where SSCarbonGTS's pic said it was, thanks SSCarbonGTS, i had a pic like that in the instalation manual but didn't point one out for he celica just a list of where it might be, so i just started searching
