First let's make things clear tongue :

I don't want any subs or amps in my car...to much off mass!!!
In the end, i want to strip as much as possible out of it, and put in a rollcage (want to go for the racy look, and back it up with a supercharger (since it's almost daily driven!)...but that's future talk smile )

Now back to the system:

We all know that the stock system SUCKS (atleast that's my oppinion...the quality of the sound it produces lacks a lot off Bass (no that kind a sub would produce))

So i decided to put in some other speakers...so i ripped of the door panels and what the @#$%* did i see...
traingle housed speakers (why do the japs don't make standard speakers...so they can be replaced easy rolleyes )

But oke...i already customized my APR Strutbar ...so this should be a piece off cake 2!!!

So i bought a set of DLS [dls.se] UP6
(with a 2 way filter)
Since i already got a UP36 (3 way system) i used that 16cm for the rear, and filtered it with a new pair of 2 way filters (bigger sound spectrum from the rear)
Then i got busy...below is the result

Jip it Does grin

The reason i bought DLS is because the quality of the sound is SUPERB!!!

Unlike the Rockford / Kicker / JBL speakers (oke they are perfect, but where more lickely build for extreme loud systems...DLS on the other hand, doesn't go that loud...but is 'Pure')

And it does have enough bass in it, to drum the ears thumbsup

Well...that's a whole operation thumbsdown

first you have to take out the panels in the trunk...but before you can do that, you have to remove the plastic underneath the floor-mat!!!

After that, you have to remove the back seats (read: rests) because they are connected to the rear panels (behind the front seats
Then you have to remove the plastic plates besite the front seat (the ones underneath a closed door...don't know the word for it in english)
After that...you gently pull the rear panel loose, starting at the opening of the door.
Most off the panels are clicked!!!

But remember to loosen all the screws firts!!! grin

NOTE:
you don't have to completly remove the back seat...just the rests, then you can pull the panel out

Well...if you're planning on upgrading you're stock speakers to a quality component system, you won't be needing those anymore!

So get that drill...that has become dusty! grin
And start drilling them out! thumbsup (thats what i did)

Then use screws (M6) to re adjust the new (MDF?) Housing

NOTE:
if you're carefull...you won't even damage the stock speaker
AND leave you're window OPEN when drilling tongue

you can buy the mount from crutchfield, or it's free if you buy speakers from them spineyes
