I have to say good bye to the Celica but Hello Z06

On Sunday I will be delivering my Celica to lovely lady in Wisconsin... BUT... Look what I did yesterday.. I bought a 2002 Corvette Z06... It only has 10,000 miles on it and is in mint condition. 0 to 60 in 4.0 seconds... 405hp with 400 ft lbs of torque... It scares the shit out of me...

Congrats on selling the celica. How much did you end up getting out of it if you dont mind me asking?? I drove a 50th anniversary vette the other day, and it was absolutely awesome. I can only imagine what the Z06 is like. Congrats on the purchase thumbsup thumbsup

$57,000 new but mine had 10,000 miles on it and I got it for $39,900... Expensive but the rush of running through the gears is worth it... Its like being in a video game... The side windows just look like blurs when you launch...

Awesome! Does yours have a HUD? Also, is it true there are front cooling brake ducts? What about rear brake ducts?

rolleyes yes, add yourself a nice veilside kit to that, great way to add speed!!!!!!!

nice car dude! talk about a serious jump in Performance and handling!! i'm guessing CAI, exhaust, x-pipe, chip, headers, and drag radials. i've seen lots of z06 guys with 150 shots. those cars are MONSTERS when they spray. and of course if you have the $$$ there's the blower route . . .

Very nice, Z06 is creme de la creme of 'vettes and modern 'vettes are suppose to be the best made but I was told by my uncle who is a 'vette owner and fan that the manual transmissions can be a real hassle and it's supposively hard to find someone who actually knows how to fix them and they are very expensive.

Damn... you're moving up in the world eek

Hope you enjoy the car man! Vettes look sick on the street, and you can't top that sort of power either... BUT...

If you really wanna make it a sick ride, mod the hell out of the interrior! Go for some nice racing seats, a nice s/s and knob, stereo system... thumbsup

Good thing about having a Corvette is that there is no need to spend a ton of money on engine mods. wink

The first mod is the stereo system. I am putting in my JL 500.1 amp with a JL Audio 13w7. Then I am just going to leave it stock for the summer and mod this winter. I will probably do a body kit and wing combo and a few other small things ind=side... Maybe tv dvd and some seats would be cool, the leather in covettes wear really easy... But right know they are to nice to take out...
