I want to make the lights white, so I was just going to cut off the green casing on the bulb. MY question is will it appear a dull off white like the bulb, or will the the lettering on the controls make it pure white? THNX in advance

maybe they aren't very bright in the first place. Or you should try a different camera.

5280vvti... I took the bulb covers off the ac/heater controls. the display looks peach-colored due to the color of the panel. I'm itching to get to a good photo shop so i can pick up some colored acetate film/paper. The nearest shop is 45 freakin minutes away from me angry

I believe that you are talking about the surface mount LED's. The lights inside of the A/C console aren't surface mount, nor are they LED's I believe. Just cheap little light bulbs.

I bought myself a set of ten really bright blue LED's that came attached to wires. That made it really easy to splice them into my cig lighter, and stuff them into the console.

The only bad thing about LED's is that the light doesn't really disperse through the side of the bulb the way it would with a light bulb. It just tends to go through the top of the bulb. Don't get me wrong though, they are bright as hell, and you can't look directly into them without burning your retnas, but you pretty much have to put at least 5 of them into the console, and aim them all into different directions. Even with that done, there are a few patches of darkness, and the whole console just doesn't look right.

That's why I'm going to take them out and replace it with one or two blue bendable neon sticks that you can cut to fit inside of the console. Actually, now that I think of it, they might be LED sticks, but no bother, either will work fine, the LED's just tend to be brighter and last longer.

I'll post a link of them if I find them.

You can change the color of your Gauges and screen color also. You can get leds from TeamCelica for $28.
P.S.I did not change it yet...

Yeah, I don't think I have the skills to change out the LEDs on the stereo, or to work on the gauges. Also why I'm considering red/orange if I don't go with white.

Are you going with blue for the rest of the interior as well?

I painted the vents too and I have a "carbon fiber" vinil overlays on the each side of the vents (Not on the picture)
Here is the link how to take the vents off: Click here!
