Around town I usually shift about 3500. If I've just washed the car and I'm trying to attract even more attention, about 4500-5000. I don't race, haven't shifted past 6k in a long time.

daily driving I shift around 3500 rpm...I rarely like to go into lift, cause I'm afraid I might mis-shift and blow up my celi like I did my last car

I usually shift around 2.5-4 during normal driving, but you gotta let your car have some fun every now and then.

I didn't think the GT had lift? Correct me if I am wrong.

As far as I know it doesn't. Though some people like to claim they "feel" it.

Lowered fuel cut-off?

Dunno, but if the 02 GT does have a lowered fuel cut off, it wouldn't slow it down as much as a GTS with a lowered fuel cut off, because a GT doesn't have lift.
