Are the AEM big brakes for the front of the GT worth the $400? I'm thinking about them, but wasn't sure if its something I can wait on...I don't drag race or anything, but figured they couldn't hurt. I drove a track day at road atlanta in February with no problems, and am thinking about doing the one in may, but was wondering if the bigger brakes would be worth it since most of the driving I do is simple cruising...(I don't race because I blew up my last vehicle and want to keep my celi for as long as possible)...just wondering what everyone thought... cool

i was thinking about getting them too. but i think it might look weird to have some huge brakes on the front and drums on the back. looks like i gotta go to the junkyard and find the rear disc set up from a gts

a kid told me that celicas handle like crap... i laughed

I wouldn't recommend getting them if your Celica is your daily driving car, because with big brakes like those, they might wear faster than usual due to an increase in clamping power. At least, that's what I heard.

yup...my chromies are my daily drivers, and my BBS wheels are the ones I use for track days...either way, if they aren't worth the money I think I'll stay away

you're better off spending that money for a GTS back clip to get the disc brakes for the rear.
