If you just had it painted DO NOT take it through an automatic car wash yet. You can hand wash it but i was told to wait 2 weeks after painting to take it through a wash.

Sometimes I use those "Laserwash" car washes that spray your car. They are like $5 and do a great job

those car washes can scratch your rims and paint and can rip off your spoiler because its so huge.

even if they are 100% cloth in their...i dont see how they would scratch anything. Or are you talking about car washes that dont use 100% cloth

handwashing all the way...I have graphics, and have to use a damn toothbrush to get to some places in my baby...but then again you get out what you put in rice, so if you give love and attention to your car then it will shine tasty

yes it is a convenience thing...i work and go to school and have to teach once a week so that leaves me little time to wash it...a 2 minute carwash is hella quicker and it comes out looking brand new...not to mention that washing your car when it is 20 or 30 degrees out ...well not anymore isnt that nice...but ill take ur guys ideas into consideraation ...i simply wanted to know if it would harm the Fiberglass wing.thaanks thumbsup

Because it could pick up loose debris (little rocks, pieces of glass, etc.) from your car or other cars, and essentially wash your car with it.

The fact that it's cloth means that it can pick loose dirt and shit up fairly easily. Who's to say that it doesn't stick to the cloth, and then drag it across your car.

Hell, some people won't even use power based soap to wash their car because they think that one little undisolved pellet can scratch their paint.

I go to car washes in the winter. Hand wash it in the spring, summer and fall. I live in New England my hose is basically frozen most of the winter.

ok if you haveent noticed it reached a high of 38 and some wind...not a great day to wash the car...it also just snowed a couple of daays ago and it is winter...therefore the carwash is the best bet like most said...during the spring and summer i wash it with my gf in our bathing suits...sexy huh...so would you guys stop saying carwashes are for homos and shit like that...i aaint washing my car when there is snow and cold temps...thanks for the info on the carwashes,,,never really tthought about loose stuff clinging on to the cloth...i figured with high pressure water it would come off but i can see ur point cause anything is possible thumbsup

I washed my car last night. Water almost froze as it hit the car. And today it's snowing.

I hate winter sooo bad.
