according to the most recent Sport Compact Car magazine CHP/LAPD have been issuing fix it tickets for exhaust noise at a high rate. almost 100 tickets a month. the reason for this is that SEMA has called upon decible instruments to be used at referee sations to measure sound. before it was under the disgrection of the officer who pulled you over...but now people can set up an appointment, get tested, and the referee will issue you a certificate that your exhaust meets the 95db limit. so- far all these tests ARE FREE...but is limited to only people who have recieved citations. if you have a citation get to a phone and request for an appointment with a referee to get your certificate and documentation! the number is (800)622-7733 http://www.smogcheck.ca.gov/StdPage.asp?Body=/contacts.htmgood luck everyone!

Definitly. Might sound stupid, but that is one of the reasons I wouldn't want it live there because their car modding laws are too strict and it costs too much to live there.
