With the Blitz its only for the GTS. 4000 pounds and a decent setup will get you around 260-280bhp, but more importantly more low end grunt. Kit also comes with front mounted intercooler

they both aren't worth it...only add about 30-40 hp and are too much...

Blitz is for GTS
TRD is for 1ZZ motor but does NOT fit the GT Celica due to hood clearance...needs a custom hood done.

Argh, lets not get started on how much power superchargers add... top end you'll only see 30-40, but on the low end you'll see much more.

Doesn't matter. You can spool it at idle, and a Turbo vs. a supercharger on the Celica, the Turbo would whoop ass.

Turbo on the celica would not be efficient. Even though the Blitz Super Charger does not provide as much horsepower, it provides the low end which is what our engines need most. The GTS already has a great High end. All we lack is low end torque. Furthermore, the Turbo kit is about 1500 dollars more and is "harder" on the engine.

Trial also makes a supercharger for both GT and GTS. They say it comes in 3 variations for the GTS. Very pricey. Check here...

i thought trial's was based on the blitz? confused there's also the prototype magnuson charger from magnacharger (it's on the current hotchkis project car). it supposedly brings hp to 300hp but no dynoes have been produced.

Brashboy also has the Blitz s/c for both the GT & the GTS, and it fits both auto & manual.

That doesn't make any sense. How often are you gonna be in the low end of the powerband if you have a GTS?

Only from the start. After that, you are in nothing but the "high end" of the powerband.

The Turbo is not harder on the engine than the SC.

The Turbo on the GTS is efficient because it operates off of the exhaust pressure.

Do you know what you are actually talking about? wtf

ok, but if the good thing about the blitz is the low end power, can't that create a little extra torque on the side... grin

when you increase the power, you also increase torque. They go hand in hand.

ight well i calculated and with 35 hp gain from a blitz supercharger (and no other mods, just stock 180 hp [GTS]) you get 215 hp with 145 ft lbs torque... thumbsup the torque increased about 30 or so from stock...

yeah but yu hit that 145 at like 2500 rpms.

i personally would prefer the s/c fro the power down low.

inless you race in a straight line like most every member here you need power down low you can't keep it in lift on a windy road where someof the turns are as slow as 35 mph.

Blitz S/C with exhaust has been Dynoed to the tune of 197 whp..The GTS comes stock with 161 whp. The Blitz is $4,500 and Trial is an arn and a leg at $7,500 but with the Trial you get the Trial titanium exhaust and Trial header along with everything else the Blitz has but I have yet to see a Dyno of it.
Link to Blitz Dyno
Supercharger Dyno [importtuner.com] Its on the right hand side of article
