Here's the deal. I bought my 2000 gts about a month ago, and can't seem to get the remote keyless entry to operate. i didn't have time to have it fixed the night i bought the car, so i figured i could get the programming procedures from a either this website or someplace similar. After looking or a while, i came across the Toyota TSB for programming the remote. I followed the steps accordingly. However, the vehicle will not respond to the remote. After following the steps 3 or 4 times i was still unable to get it to work. This morning, i went out and disconnected the battery while i changed the Air Filter
(about 15-20 min.). I tried to program the remote once again with no success.
Here's is where i could use some help. if anyone on here is a toyota tech or former tech with some good "know-how" for the program procedures, i would love to hear from you. The dealer i bought the car from is about an hour from my home. they are willing to fix the problem free of charge. However, i also work for a car dealer, and my only day off is sunday. Needles to say, they are closed on sunday. That's beside the point. i just want the keyless entry to work, and it would feel pretty good to do it at home.
