shortram--get rmm or injen cai (cold air Intake) go with aem for low end power and injen for high end power. since you want high end power, i'd get the injen cai.

but i want a short ram air cause on the cold air the filter is exposed to the weather and not to mention you got to remove the bumper to clean/ change the filter then get either the rmm shortram or the injen shortram. you can get both at www.intensepower.com [ intensepower.com] for very reasonable prices and the site is also extremely reliable so you won't have any problems

the Rod Millen Motorsports (RMM) and Injen are both good short rams. If you want cooler air coming into ur engine then you can also get the heatshield

thats kool i will go with maybe the injen but thanks guys for ur help you can't go wrong witht either, both are excellent companies. the injen looks better and is cheaper. the rmm is the same powerwise, unless you get the heatshield, in which case the rmm does better.

i put the ebay CAI and the code p2102 came on i don't know why it would come up. whatever your ebay Intake did, that's just the code so the mechanic knows where to look for the problem.

yeah but they had to replace my whole throttle body and the car is a 2003 if installed right (it's easy), the rmm won't give you any problems.

you can't go wrong witht either, both are excellent companies.

the rmm is the same powerwise, unless you get the heatshield, in which case the rmm does better. the heatshield for the RMM works on the injen too, so besides price looks can also be a factor

Im pretty sure it will be fine, because the heat shield doesnt attach to the filter or Intake tubing, but just bolts into ur engine bay while ur Intake sits over it. THe only probelm may come from filter size, but ive heard a few peopel do this and say it was great!

have you guys ever seen someone take the plastic piece off of the front that blocks air flow from coming in thru the mesh piece with the toyota emblem on it "semi ram" i think they call it. i was just wondering if this would help with a SRI since it would be letting cold air in under the hood, probably be easier for the Intake to suck in cooler air eh? just a thought...

yeah its in the installs section, just moves the plastic piece out of the way so you get some more air into the Intake area. Its not gonna do much but wont really be harmful

It lowers the temp of the air that is flowing into the Intake filter by helping to block off the heat coming from ur engine, on the rmm site it they show you the temp reduction, thus making the short ram closer to a CAI. Rod Millen [ rodmillenstore.com]

Rod Millen [ rodmillenstore.com] perfectly said. the air is still hotter than a cai, but it is less hot than a regular shortram. think of it as half shortram/half cai in terms of Performance.

LOL, it's way easier to install 'cuz it's only three pieces & you only connect the MAF. I dunno how much hp it adds, but I can definetely feel it Buffy's on, so I'm out
