I bought my AEM Intake about 2 days ago and waiting for it to come in and i realized i didnt get a bypass valve, is it worth it??? Also im a driver that avoids puddles and stuff, but wat happens if i avoid puddles but it rains like hardcore all day and im driving?????? confused

bypass valve doesnt even do anything... save your money.

and as long as the Intake isnt submetged you'll be fine.

yup i mean i dont get the concept of it aside that it might absorbed droplets of water(which foam tends to do DUH!!-your buying a piece of foam ) but if it get soaked youll still hydrolock -dont get it thumbsdown just be careful avoid the rain if you can smile

well, the bypass might help on those long ass CAIs that those civics has...but our CAI is short...it doesnt have enough time for the bypass to work to avoid suckin up water.

I would get one, there's no such thing as being too safe.

^^^it does nothing on our car except loose some gains from the CAI...so...

Yes depending on the weather, for example when it's cold outside, they are the same, but when it's hotter outside, the CAI is obviously going to deliver better, cooler air.
