I want to drop my car...the only problem is if i should get springs...then eventually new struts/shocks...or coilovers...my dilemma is where i live and go to school winters are rought a lot of snow...and also problem potholes and shitty roads...anyway if i get springs i cant adjust height but w/ coilovers i can but there a lot more $...i want to know from people with springs...liek tein s-tech eibach sportsline or anything else if there clearance is good in the front...or should i just get coilovers(although i hear bouncy ride)?

I have the eibach sportlines and absolutely love them. Ride is a little stiff but what do you expect with lowering your car. I have nothin to complain about with them.

You can get Teins basic dampening kit, it's their entry level coil over and it's $825 at www.i-m-racing.com [i-m-racing.com] It's a little more expensive than buying springs & shocks, but you the ability to raise the car.

i went with the tanabe super ss coilovers and the hotchkis rear camber kit. i live in ohio so i know how winter can be and potholes and i have been fine. Do some sort of adjustable suspension because you will not be happy with just normal lowering springs

reason i wanan drop my car is im thinkin of gettin some 17s and i think a drop would be neccessary...and coilovers would destroy my wallet and then i couldnt get rims til middle/late summer...

What's more important to you? Wheels or Suspension?

Shocks + Springs will run you around $600 for something nice, that's only $200 more than Tein's entry level coil over. If you're really worried about pot holes & driving in the winter, then you're better off spending the extra $200 on coil overs.

Or just keep your stock springs and install 'em back in the winter time...

^ you'd have to get an alignment every time you did that, plus it's easier to just turn the "rings" on coil overs with the wrench

You can't have your cake & eat it too. You've heard what everyone has to say, now the ball is in your hand and it's up to you happywink

that's the saying bro - it's a metaphor alluding to the fact that the situation is now under your control... like if you're playing tennis and you're about to crush a forehand down the line - you control its direction, rotation, and speed - whereas as soon as the ball passes over the net the situation is out of your hands happywink

They probably won't ride as smooth as the SS or perform as well, but what do you expect from an entry level coil over. If you want Performance, then I would go with the SS or Tanabe.
