After my Intake cracked after 2 months of use i was pretty pissed at injen. But now i have contacted them numerous times by email and a few times by phone with no response. Sure they may have a lifettime warranty but it does no good if you cant even contact them. I will never do business with them again and encourage everyone to buy from AEM or Blitz. I wasted 200 dollars on a piece of scrap metal and a license plate holder that i was ashamed of and took off.
Damn that sux dude. I didn't buy any brand name Intake for my last civic and it lasted til this day without a bump on it. and it only cost me like $30 shipped. Hey do you think you can post a pic of what it look like now os everyone can see how bad the quality was???
As probably not many of you know that one of the cheif engeneers at Injen was once the head honcho of R&D at AEM. I have an Injen Short Ram and no problems what so ever. 1 yr now.
just because an engineer can build something doesn't mean some bean counter in the fabrication division outsourced some cheap ass chinese steel / aluminum to build the product as cheeply as possible increasing profit margin. and there might be a reason him being the Ex-head of R&D for AEM I am just playing devils advocate dont mind me

I have injen SRI also, only 1 month. Looks like yours broke on the vibra-mount weld. Possible it wasn't installed on the rubber vibration mount correctly causing it to metal fatigue and break around the weld? I'm going to check my vibra-mount tomorrow to make sure it's right. Maybe it would be a good idea
Yes i have heard many things about Injen. I wasnt even so mad when the actual product broke but after trying to reach them many times and nothing is when i really got pissed. Now after weeks of trying to contact them and no response i have givin up. I am just trying to help others not to have to go throught the same thing i did.
**The Intake was installed correctly i had a friend who is a licensed mechanic come supervise me as a did it.
Sorry Spyder, don't think I was ripping on your install, just thought metal fatigue could be a possibility.
its cool man
Maybe i was a little out of line putting this thread up all together. I really meant it just to make others aware of my stand on the thing. But kinda turned out into an all out bash of Injen.
how did you found out it had a hole, wat did you do, did you over rev or something you have to consider ur self and see wat you did wrong dont just blame them its not there fault its not like they do it on purpose, thats just the way i think correct me if im wrong hope you get to talk to them
I don't blame you 4 being pissed. Shit happens but nice when a company makes it right 4 u. Keep trying to get Injen, maybe it'll work out. Good luck.
Yeah, good luck man. IMO, Injen should fix this because they are a good company. And since most people either say to get Injen or AEM, they must be good.
how is over reving going to make a hole on the Intake
No one is saying that Injen makes bad products, but it looks like it's a factory defect, so Injen should step up with their life time warranty & help a brother out. What's the point of having a warranty if you're not gonna follow through?
Nate had a hole on his CAI & I'm sure he installed it right, he's not that dumb to install it wrong

I also had a hole in my CAI after only 3 months and my bracket busted right off. Mine was also installed correctly.
Some of the ugliest things took the longest time to make And some of the easiest habits are the hardest one's to break!!!
