Coupla Mod questions...

Looking for a carbon fiber Hood, but still want it to have the scoop...anybody have any good websites I can order or check one out off of? Plus, about how much am I looking at?

I'm also looking at coloring my center console and other things inside the car a different color...all plastic though. Powder coating is the best thing to do, right?

And anyone know where I can find decent Punisher decal? Looking for one to put over the little door at the top of the center console (that storage area thing) after I get it re-colored. But I don't want some cheesy or cheap sticker out of a comic book or something.

Thanks guys.

You can't powder coat plastic, it'll melt from the oven. Punisher sticker, beats me. All of VIS Carbon Fiber hoods come with a Carbon Fiber scoop, much all Carbon Fiber hoods come with a scoop. PM Groupbuycelica about getting a VIS Hood, he's got one of the lowest prices that I know of.

Right on, appreciate the help...so I guess getting the console pieces etc painted would be the best option, huh? Cool.

Coupla more questions. I just got home with my girlfriend and when I was getting outta the Celica (I'm a tall guy so I sort of have to lean to get out) my heel caught one of the retention pins for the floor mats and broke it. Is there such a thing as metal retention pins? Because I really like the floor mats (they're the optional ones you can get, I think they're great looking, I'd like to leave them in) but even if I fix or get a replacement plastic pin I can see it happening the same way if I'm not careful.

And dome lights...anyone know anything about where to get a colored or black dome light? I hate stock domelights..they've always irritated me. I love having the blacklight glow inside of the car...is there such a thing as a black domelight or will I have to buy a black accent light and mount it into the cieling or something? Thanks for all the help guys, I know a lot of my questions seem silly and inexperienced, but inexperienced is exactly what I am so thanks for bearing with me. smile

You can get them painted, like mine are getting done, or you can get them wraped in Carbon Fiber, but it's 2.5 times more expensive.

I don't think they make metal clips that hold the floor mat, but I've never installed mine & my floor mat doesn't move around. You can buy one from you dealer if you wan't another one.

The you can open your dome light & see what size/type it is and you can go to an audio place and see if they can get you what you want.

As for your center console... do what I'm going to do.

First try to paint it yourself. If you get it right, you save some money and get the satisfaction of saying, "Oh ya I painted it myself." If you mess it up, just take it into a body shop and they will do a great job for you.

imo, a Carbon Fiber wrap looks much better than the both a paint job and stickers

So I've found a Carbon Fiber dash trim kit...but I'm curious as to the whole painting thing. What would be the necessary materials/steps in order to make the painted pieces look GOOD? I don't want a "I made my own car out of elbow macaroni by watching Martha Stewart" look to it, I want it to look GOOD. Any advice anyone?
