ok...this is gonna be fun...I've got new rims and tires coming on monday - 17's with 215/45/17 tires - and I'm buying tanabe coilovers this week to drop my car. I've got a 2003 GT with no body kit. Aside form daily driving I do track days at Road Atlanta (F1 circuit style track, no drag racing), and I was wondering what I should set my drop at with the coilovers...I was thinking 1" - 1.5" up front and 2" - 2.5" out back to kind of level the car out. I'm looking for a drop that's not really gonna give me issues with driveability (tire rubbing), and any help or suggestions are more than appreciated thumbsup

I have my Tanabe's dropped all the way in the front & the rear is probably around 2". The car feels really flat when I take a sharp turn at a highspeed. I dunno if you wanna drop your front that far but I havent scraped in a while & I don't have a body kit either. I also don't have any problems with rubbing. My tires are 215/35/R18 & I would recommend setting the front to #1 & the rear to #3 on the (the knob that adjust the dampening)

if you are racing on a track..you should put your coillovers as low as you can.

this is because:

1. there should be no bumpbs on an f1 style ractrack
2. the lower your car, the lower your center of gravity and therefore the better your car will corner thumbsup

that's what I was thinking...I just wanted suggestions to make sure I don't have any tire rubbing...I'm sure I'll figure it out once I get them on there tho...just wondering what everyone's thoughts were smile
