I see pictures on this web site that when they show there motor it looks sooo clean and awsome, mine on the other hand looks like crap. so i was thinking bout painting the plastic red (to match my car) so that it looks a little better under there, tell me what ya think ty.

I think you should paint the plastics...it looks great and its cheap! here is my car with the painted engine plastics

What type of paint did you guys use, sanding... any details, I was thinking of doing this soon but i dont want to mess them up, so any tips would be awesome!

oh well. might as well join those posting the pics up. here's mine with aluminum painted engine plastic covers.. i actually just didn't use any primer. i just cleaned it off before spray painting it. after that, i went and sprayed a couple of coats of silver spraypaint. after that, i clear coated it with another couple of coats. it's a great mod if you choose the right color to match with your car. BTW, when you go get your spray paint, before sure to get the engine paint that's high heat resistant. remember, it gets really hot underneath the hood so you don't want your paint to start wearin down..

This is what I did...
-Clean your engine plastics -Primer -wet sand (you can repeat these steps) until smooth -Start spray painting the color of your choice -Clear Coat
