i read an article that rated aftermarket cat back exhuasts... i had a cat back greddy exhuast on my infiniti g20 and it was very quiet. on the charts their cat back was among the most quiet (they say so it will remain street legal 90db or lower i believe) [ 04-16-2003, 07:12 PM: Message edited by: Bradcelica ]

ok, where to start? i thought street legal was 95db or lower, and give the exhaust a week or 2 to break in and it will get louder, i don't have the greddy so i don't really know but a general rule of thumb with exhausts is that you have to let them break in and they get louder

yea, i'd say wait a while before you bash GREDDY. I'm gonna get a tanabe, but i have a friend that has a greddy and it sounds awesome! Make sure you don't have your silencer on and then just make sure to drive it...it'll break in. It's actually quite loud

ya dont dog on greddy, it fit great on my infinit g20 and wasnt super quiet. however, greddy tends to be the most quiet outta cat-backs. hope this helps link comparing greddy cat-back with other cat-backs on a suburu (for comparison reasons) web page [ mattrandolph.com]

screw the Greddy, they suck. I have the tanabe on mine and it's real nice. It's got a really good low sound to it and just as much gains as the TRD.

i know Greddy isnt a bad company.. i had the Greddy system on my 96' ford probe gts.. it was a nice deep sound from the second i stepped on the gas till i let off! but for some reason.. the evo.. as per the ad's in super street or scc... they get quieter as the RPM's rise.. which i never saw in a ad before buying the evo.. in my opinion.. its nice overall.. but lacks in sound dept. my injen CAI.. hisses louder than my exhaust.. sounds when revv'd

forgot about that, fitment with the TRD rear bumper is fine. Nothing touches at all. It's perfect.

the $275 price would be definite if i can buy the tanabe and deliver the greddy as soon as the tanabe is installed and it only has like at most.. 200 miles on it
