OK IM A LIL PISSED OFF... I WENT TO A PERFORMANCE PARTS STORE.. AND AGAINST WHAT MY FRIEND TOLD ME.. I DROPPED THE IDEA OF GETTIN THE TANABE.. AND OPT'D FOR THE GREDDY EVO.. DONT GET ME WRONG.. ITS A NICE MUFFLER.. LOOKS GREAT! BUT JUST AS QUIET AS THE STOCK LOL SO WTF!!! IM THINKIN OF GOIN TO A TANABE SUPER MEDALION RACING SPEC.. ANYONE HAVE IT? AND IF SO DOES ANYONE HAVE IT ON A GTS WITH THE TRD KIT???
when my greddy was first installed... as it was up on the lift.. the exhaust kinda sat to the left.. and had to be adjusted.. by kinda bending the hangers a lil bit. how does the tanabe fit on in conjuction with the TRD kit? SOMEONE PLEASE HELPPPPPP ... or answer me damn it!!
ive searched the site.. and i saw what i THOUGHT was a tanabe exhaust on a black/blue celi with the TRD rear valence.. looks.. ok as far as fitment goes.. who's car is that? or does anyone have tanabe.. and if sooo please.. email me.. at [email:firstname.lastname@example.org" target="_blank]email@example.com" target="_blank[/email] or im me on AIM/AOL on that screen name!! THaTs aLL FoLkS!!
i read an article that rated aftermarket cat back exhuasts... i had a cat back greddy exhuast on my infiniti g20 and it was very quiet. on the charts their cat back was among the most quiet (they say so it will remain street legal 90db or lower i believe)
ok, where to start? i thought street legal was 95db or lower, and give the exhaust a week or 2 to break in and it will get louder, i don't have the greddy so i don't really know but a general rule of thumb with exhausts is that you have to let them break in and they get louder
yea, i'd say wait a while before you bash GREDDY. I'm gonna get a tanabe, but i have a friend that has a greddy and it sounds awesome! Make sure you don't have your silencer on and then just make sure to drive it...it'll break in. It's actually quite loud
ya dont dog on greddy, it fit great on my infinit g20 and wasnt super quiet. however, greddy tends to be the most quiet outta cat-backs. hope this helps link comparing greddy cat-back with other cat-backs on a suburu (for comparison reasons) web page
i know Greddy isnt a bad company.. i had the Greddy system on my 96' ford probe gts.. it was a nice deep sound from the second i stepped on the gas till i let off! but for some reason.. the evo.. as per the ad's in super street or scc... they get quieter as the RPM's rise.. which i never saw in a ad before buying the evo.. in my opinion.. its nice overall.. but lacks in sound dept. my InjenCAI.. hisses louder than my exhaust.. sounds when revv'd
how does the Tanabe sound compare to other exhausts on the market though? i just bought my greddy evo like a 3 weeks ago and now i want it off already lol... if anyone lives in NY ill sell it for.. 275$.. i bought it for like 590$
