If anyone has pics of the led's on the gas gauge, tach, and speedo, could you please post them. Has anyone has changed the led's themselves? If so, Does it require more than basic soldering skills? I have done some soldering in the past. However, the connections were never any smaller than half of a pinhead. I'm looking for a good weekend project, and i really dislike the orange dash. Thanks ahead of time for the replies.

I changed my LED's to red and soldered them myself, i have only done a few soldering projects years ago and I did fine!!! its tedious crap so you have to be patient and careful, its kinda fun too! thumbsup

Sorry the only pic i have is really blurry and unclear!

thanks for the quick reply. What you wrote put a little more confidence in myself. i haven't torn the dash apart yet, but i think i need SMD led's. does this sound familiar? I'm going to try to get any numbers i can off of the current led's, and then cross refference them with a company i found called "eLED.com" They have all kinds of different options for led's. How many total led's will i need to do the whole instrument cluster? Or should i just shut my damn oie-hole and tear apart my dash?

I can't wait for friday now. That blue is exactly what i'm looking for. And the light looks very evenly distributed. It definitely puts the stock "Orange" to shame. Great work!

Orange Kicks Ass. It is the most visible color in the spectrum next to red and yellow.

I guess "seeing" your gauges isn't cool anymore.

I'm dying to change my LEDs to red, but I have no idea how soldering works. I'm not sure I know anybody who can do it either. Is it a diificult process to learn, What if I make a mistake .. will I forever screw up my gauges?
