Hey, im just wondering, having an 2000 GTS and being an automatic, would it even make sense to put mods on it such as exhaust, headers, etc?

If I'm modding the mess outta my GT Auto, why not? I know it won't be hella fast but it's all about customizing and enjoying it thumbsup

it depends what your definition of "worth it" is...if you expect the same gains on your auto as you do on a manual then you're day dreaming. personally i have seen a GTS dyno with i/e/h with a 10-12 whp gain...from 143whp to 154...not bad...GTS responds well to "breather" mods...what are your plans exactly?

well i was going to get a TRD exhaust/Injen CAI/possibly the DC headers that are being sold as a GB on here. What do you mean by "breather" mods?

if you wanted speed then you should have bought a manual or better yet a faster car. celis are built for corners and more importantly looks thumbsup
i have put sh!t loads of money on mine check it out and you tell me if its worth it click here to check my mods and profile
after my mods so far i love my auto, sounds great, drives great and it definetly looks fast laughsilly iam more for the "WOW" eek factor than speed so to me modding it is definetly "worth it"

Just think of it this way:

CAI = inhale
header + exhaust = exhale

Well i had no say if i wanted a stick. It was my brothers car and he had a stick before and just wanted an automatic for a change. My mom said if i wanted a car, id have to either take that or not get one. IF your more for the WOW factor than whyd you get exhust, cai and all that? Can you tell a big difference with the exhaust/cai compared to it stock?

automatic rulez!!!!
perfect for LA traffic.
I got gts auto, and i love it.
sometime i regret getting stick. But someday i might change them. That's why i go for looks over Performance, there is always faster car out there no matter what. Like marco said, for Performance you should have gotten beetle with porsche engine. that's fast.
But i believe looks overcomes Performance.
Like people say "As long as you look good out there, who cares"
just my opinion

yes i/e/h/p they all make a difference it still helps your car. "breather" mods ct mentioned are exactly those e/i/h it helps free up more air for the car. i bought them for its fuctionality and looks...as you would say "a little go with the show". i have to back up what people see outside thumbsup my car is not the fastest but its fast enough tongue
