Hi guys.

My mama gave me an option of a new Camry / Celica. I'm pushing for the Celica. I don't think I can afford the GTS so I'm leaning towards GT.

I hate the 2004 new front end:

My family has a thing about not buying used cars. Yeah, I know it costs a whole lot more... I'd prefer a used 2002-2003 GTS, but my mom assumes if someone's selling their car... there 'must' be something wrong with it.

Anyone else see the Front end on the toyota dealership? I was like WTF? Those are my choices of bumpers?

new > used.

the front isn't that bad. the lower part
is more aggressive looking than the older
versions but of the slants. you can always
just get a body kit later on anyway.

the body kit that you like is the old action package made by TRD. it costs about 2000$ and i dont think you can install them on the 04 bodies, but im not sure about that. convince ur mom to get a used gts, ull enjoy it more. get a frickin certified, they have the same warranties on them, and its from toyota dealer!

yeah thats the thing. I went to the toyota website and they have some crazy 360 render of a Celica 'action package' that I have never seen on the streets and cannot find a picture of on the internet.

I found this pic. It's of a 2004 w/ action package and it looks like the same as my pictures above and the 2001-2003 action packages. I hope its the same.

The headlights look like the pic above too 'black housing.' I hope so, I'll shell out an extra $2000.

If you can afford an extra $2000 for a TRD bodykit, I'd put that into the actual car instead and spring for a GTS instead of a GT. BIIIIG difference if you plan to get a manual. Mucho faster, a few interrior goodies, plus the cool GTS logo on back. spineyes

This is my car in my driveway! LOL! The van is gone, and the driveway is now concrete. It's been a few years. The Celica is now my weekend car. :-)

What do you want to know about the car? The lights are stock. Any shadow you see is just that- a shadow. No black housing, just the angle of the photo.

Cheers!

The '03 to me was the worse front end they ever offered. The 00 - 02 were bland and in those years it was the "Aggressive Action Package", which were okay, but everyone hated on the "ricer" spoiler. Then '04 came the shortened Action Package which is also known as the "Tsunami" and some officially have that badge until they pulled it after the Tsunami hit.

Then sales started to drop so all the rest of the stock that was left were re-dated to be '04-'05. '04 was really the last year they made any "new" body styles, anything with a different body style was just stock left over they needed to get rid of before sales stopped in the U.S. in '05 and then in '06 in the EUDM market.

I used to work at a Toyota dealership when the last Celica model rolled out and the new Scion brand was coming to our dealership.
