Has anyone with an Injen Short Ram Intake system on their car ever had any problems with it. The dealership is trying to tell me that it is causing my engine to run lean. They say it is breathing in hot air (over 150 degrees). I can not believe this since I have had mine on for over 3,000 miles. Thanks for any help you cna give me.

i've had one for about the same amount of miles and i do admit i may be suffering from heat soak when i'm at a stop light for too long...but once it picks up it's gone...i dunno...does anyone else have a say in this?

Because of ct, i too picked up an Injen ShortRam - had it installed for about a week now and enjoy the added gains...
but I do also realize that if the car sits for too long at a stop light, the pickup is kinda slow (heat soak) - but while I'm accelerating to the freeway or whatnot, the pickup is nice and fast (sounds great too!) [ 04-15-2003, 04:42 PM: Message edited by: isaac ]

It does not do it during stand still, but ALL the time. When I fill up the car it will not idel (that is how it started), when I'm driving down the street it does not change anything. When I get on the gas pedal AT ALL the engine will turn off and I will not be able to start it until I reset the ECU (No matter how long I leave it sitting). I'm lost I want my car back. I feel like I'm driving a car with no power.

Ill grab some photos of how the tubes are hooked-up on my shortram... this might solve a simple problem
...BTW, check if any of the air hoses on yours are bent like a garden hose or too tight because of the zip-tie
another thing you might want to check - have your friend sit in your car and rev it a few times... have them keep it at 3,000 or even 4,000 RPM while you look under the hood for anything that might be out of place or for something that just looks wrong (USE THE E-BRAKE AND BE 100% SURE YOUR CAR IN IN NUTRAL!!!!!)
