Hey guys...I'm new to the board and alla that, so bear with me a little bit. I just bought a 2004 Celica GT like two weeks ago...I wanted the GTS but the insurance was a bit higher on it (as was the base price, obviously), so I opted for the slightly cheaper version. I'm a firefighter, we dont' get paid nearly enough. So here's the basics on it: Exterior: White Interior : Grey and Black Trans: 5-speed Options: Rear spoiler, alum. rims, sunroof, ABS So it's a fairly basic Celica I think..any opinions on to how decent a buy this one was? Also, here's the big question I had: I've never owned a car like this before...before this I had a 99 Grand Am GT (nice, but not maneuverable enough for me...plus, it was a GASP automatic!!), and before that I had a 94 Camaro Z28 (wrecked that one hardcore). So I've never had an import that I could mod the heck out of...but I want to. I've given you a basic idea on the car I have, and I'm curious as to if anyone has any suggestions as to things I could do to make it better. I know that's a HUGE general question, but any advice would be appreciated. Right now I'm going for the "all show no go" approach, I'd like to modify the appearance before I modify the actual Performance. Should I keep it white? Does anyone have any ideas? I don't really know, and I'm sorry my post is so newb-ish...but any advice would be absolutely appreciated. Thank you guys! ~ Rob

I'm going for looks for the moment but eventually (within the next few months) I'm going to start into Performance. Isn't 18" a bit big for rims if I'm going the Performance route? Something like 16"s maybe? I dunno, correct me if I'm wrong please because I'm fairly new to the whole modding thing. I have a buncha buddies that have been doing it for years but I've just recently got into it, so my knowledge is fairly limited. Oh yeah, and do any of you know where I can find a colored (or black) dome light bulb or anything? I hate stock domelights.

Go with a bodykit, 18s, drop, Carbon Fiber hood, TYCs or redouts, etc. That's a damn good start though

No doubt, I appreciate the compliments..if only it were the GTS...oh well. That's life I suppose. I'm not so much concerned about rims and dropping and all that because that's already a given...I'm more looking for advice on body kits and coloring, graphics, alla that. Should I get a carbon fiber hood or keep it stock? Should I add side vinyl or what? I mean, I don't really know...thanks again everyone. ~ Rob

depends on how much you want to put into the project - - body kit - aftermarket spoiler - Carbon Fiber hood - side vents - x-1 fenders - HID's - shave emblems - JDM/clear Sidemarkers - TYC tails - Raised Hood Scoop - Carbon Fiber accessories - underbody neons - S2000 Antenna - Tint - springs - 18's ( and that's only an excerpt of your available options ) Have fun with it bro...

since your car is white, i would suggest getting a kaminari kit... that kit is hella clean!!!! also, get an oem style carbon fiber wing and dark rims like gunmetal.. and i would go with 17's for Performance and show! also, get an aftermarket spoiler like the kaminari, or even trd wing..
