What's the different between the cold air intake sold on eBay and those of AEM or Injen etc..??? Don't they perform the same, because they look the same, same size and shape. Just looking for some comments. any opinion welcome.

thanks

Same story--quality makes it easier installing also because everything is accounted for and explained. My Injen went in pretty easily even though they say "installation is extremely difficult, we insist on a professional" I am not by any means a pro, but it went in smooth because it had everything I needed and was explained well.

Do a search on this site for gains.

As for price, I have seen a few of them sold on ebay by respectable people for 150-175.

You could also buy from this site.

Im in the same boat I orded a DIY grill of ebay a week ago for $16.01 it should be here soon. I was checking out the intakes there also. They all look cheap. LOL they sell coilverover for $40 come on spineyes. Anyways i would get the legit ones even though they havea Weapon R for like $120. Is that any good?

Side not they headers for like $180 which is reall good. Im thinking bout getting them.

yeah i was luking around in eBay too, i also saw the Weapon R type but not sure if they good when comparing to AEM or Injen. I dunno if the headers they sell are any different from stock. The last time i bought a header from them for my old civic they have the same diameter hole, don't think it make any different at all.

Weapon R sucks.
eBay "performance" products suck.

go injen short ram or aem cold air.

i'm expecting my injen short ram sometime this week grin

there was this one intake on ebay called RVM, i heard reviews somewhere here before and some guy said it was missing so many parts. it had the clamps but they weren't even durable enough to hold the tube in place.

Never sacrifice quality just to save a few bucks. Go with proven, trusted names. Going with shit in the first place will end up costing you more money in the long run happywink

ditto.

another way to look at is is like this: intakes usually only give about 2-3 whp (for name brand intakes such as injen, rmm, and aem). so on the flip side, you can't expect such 'gains' by going with 2nd rate parts. (think 1 whp).

but the main difference is quality--go with injen (cai, shortram) aem (cai) and rmm (shortram) thumbsup

never heard of them either.

i still say best bet is rmm, injen, & aem. your mimo & cosmo racing are just about the same price anyway so don't take chances.
