Let me tell ya'll this... THIS WAS THE BEST $20 I EVER SPENT ON CLEANING PRODUCTS!! It does exactly what the commercial says it will do. I thought it might be one of those, "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is," but it wasn't. I live in VA, drive a Carbon Blue Celica and it's getting hot outside. I just washed the car in 81 degree sunny weather midday, prime time for water spots. NOT A SINGLE SPOT ON THE ENTIRE CAR, EVEN THE GLASS!! I am so pleased. I will never need another chamois cloth. I highly reccomend this product to anyone who is thinking of getting one. I picked it up at the local Pep Boys for $20, but Wal Mart has it for 50 cents cheaper.

One thing though--it requires refills of the filter and soap. It claims you are only suppose to use their soap in the machine so it doesn't clog the pores or whatever. The starter kit and filter are good for 3 washes it says, but refills are good for 10 washes. At one wash a week, that's more than two months without having to spend the laborious time drying!

Sorry if it seems like I'm rambling, but I had to share my approval. thumbsup

thanx for the review. i wanted to hear this. so how does it exactly work? i saw an ad on it on a magazine. you just hose the car down with this mr. clean thing? it washes it by itself by having soap in it? dont you have to use ur hand to clean the car surface? or do you use the mr. clean product after you washed it by hand?

how about if i get a cheapo wash at the gas station, and then when i get home, i re-rinse the car with this mr clean, stuff (w/o soap) will it give the same results, or must i first wash it with the soap then follow with the pureified water? (thats what the filters do, it cleans the water before you throw it on your car)

I have auto dry too and I love it. It has 3 settings on the gun: rise, soap, and autodry. First you rinse your car down, then you soap it down (can use a wash mit), and finally you set it on autodry. It might work if you just autodry the car after you wash it elsewhere, but I havent tried it. Mr. Clean claims the soap they use is specially formulated to help the car dry spot free.

I'll be getting it tommrow for sure! My family has 4 cars that me and my two brothers have to wash weekly, and boy is it a drag and time. The F-150 is huge and always quite dirty from work, the tacoma is also dirty as hell from work, the Mercedes is dusty from where my mom parks it at her work, and my celi is always in the best condition cuase I pamper her =) This will save me loads of time! Hope it works well.

I used it today. It was pretty good. It's no miralce worker though. I still had spots on the top of my car and trunk. Also this bad boy goes through soap like a mother. I used the whole sample bottle on 1 wash. I still recommend it. It was very good and very easy. I washed the whole car in about 30 minutes compared to the whole day.

Yeah, I saw the commercial on TV today, and I was kinda skeptical that you don't have to dry it off at all. I might try it, but I'm sure I'll still have to dry the car off idunno

i think like 6 bucks for the soap then another 6 for the filter. I could be wrong i just kinda glanced at the prices. But im sure its around there. The filter is good for about 10 uses and i dont know about the soap. It goes through it fast.

i just use 'the absorber' cheeseclothlike thing or whatever.

it costs me about 50 cents each time to wash my car (average the cost of soap for X amount of uses)

i drive a carbon blue celica as well...and i have no spots so it works for me. lol but i'm cheap i guess, whatever works for you all.

There is some products out there it does filtering.
And it cost around same, and don't need soap
and i don't think you have change the filter

pur filters for kitchen sinks can actually work. but their too expensive to practically use for filling 5 gallon buckets every week.

I've heard a lot of people say good things about the Mr Clean stuff. I think I'm gonna try it. I tried the Wax as you dry stuff, and that works really well. I think all in all, makers are actually getting better at this stuff. smile

just bought it today and washed my car. Didn't spend as much time washing as a i normally did, but yeah it goes through the soap. But the soap does clean pretty well, wash mit was incredibly dirty compared to normal. We'll i put it to the test and no spots!!! This is a miracle cause i'll spend 30 min just drying my car and still get spots from water hidden under doorhandles and side mirrors..blah. I recomend this product. BTW i have a black car.

i just got mine and used it. washes the car great and cuts dirt very well. the auto dry part didt do what i expected, and there was still quite a bit of left over water on the car, so i just took a towel to it. no water spots at all though. maybe i sprayed the car wrong with the auto dry part, but anyways it still worked fairly well and i'm for the most part happy with it. oh i also picked up some of that invisible glass, window and glass cleaner. that suuff works really well. i suck at washing windows, and it came out beautifully. absolutely no streaks at all! i would recomend both products to anyone! thumbsup
