Hi,

I put on my new hood as some of you may now.
I figured Bat's headlight kit doesn't flow with it anymore.
I have almost everything removed, there's just one part left which I can;t get a corner peeled off.
IT just falls apart.

Any tips on how I can remove the vinyl the best way?
Remember the headlights are plastic so a razor won't work.

hit it with a hairdryer first the warm up the glue and the peel up slow. Wash off any left over glue with soap and hot water.

I had a hairdryer on it for 15 minutes, which worked on almost all of the vinyl.
There's just one part that won't come off.

Water and soap won't get under it I think..

Any more tips?

what will work is a little bit of charcoal starter fluid or zippo lighter fluid on a soft rag, it will dissolve vinyl adhesive great, just make sure to wash it off with soap and water after removal. this also is awesome for removing tar, grease or bugs from body panels.

oh, BTW, if you get it on the car's paint, the paint will be okay, but the wax on your finish will be removed, once again, just wash it with soap and water, and then re-wax that area.

I reccomend Dawn dishwashing soap to clean up afterwards, it also removes wax from the paint surface and grease as well, so it's a great way to prep you whole car for a fresh wax job, just wash your whole car like normal using dawn and you're set, just make sure after it's waxed again, you go back to using car wash detergent, as it won't strip the wax off the car.
