Ok, about 400 miles or so ago, I got my oil changed, and for the first time I got my tranny oil changed. I had the GED graduates at Valvoline change both.
I asked the guy if their tranny fluid was specially formulated for synchros, and he held up a pitcher (the same kind you would keep Cool-Aid in) and showed me the liquid, like I could fucking tell what kind of tranny fluid it was. Anyways, I said fuck it, and they put it in.
Could they have used the wrong kind of tranny fluid, and could this be what is fucking up my car now? If you have read my clutch topic, then you will know what kind of troubles I am having. You can access the post
HERE if you havn't read it already. Long story short, it seems that the clutch won't hold at high RPMs.
Could the wrong tranny fluid contribute to this at all?
